Engelberg offers much more than you see at first glance. In addition to the famous ski resort in winter and the beautiful hiking location in the summer there is plenty to discover. The Engelberg monastery goes back as far as the 13th century, has the largest pipe organ in Europe and one of the most impressive libraries. In the Engelberg Valley Museum history comes alive. Experience the making of a fine Swiss cheese live at the cheese factory Engelberg and in the summer on the Gerschnialp. In the village of Engelberg, there are numerous shops that range from athletic clothing to souvenirs, to antiques to modern decor – meandering around is all worth it! Get high up in the air on the suspension bridge on mount Titlis or the numerous rock climbing walls and the rope park.
